Our Senior Cares Ministry is devoted to assuring our long time 80 and older congregational members are engaged in church activities, receive communications about the church, obtain information that relates to aging and receive visits to connect in fellowship, conversation and spiritual support.

 

The ministry programs include dedicated volunteers from our congregation visiting monthly with our in-home or facility bound congregation members.  The Senior Luncheons, held twice a year, bring them together to catch up with old friends in conversation, enjoying a meal prepared by our church kitchen crew, a spot of entertainment, a spiritual message and the celebration of the Lords’ Supper.  Occasionally, we hold educational informational sessions which address the challenges of aging and taking care of an aging loved one.  Most recently, the Senior Cares Ministry has offered several “Saturday Afternoon Matinees” featuring classic films from yesteryear.
